| President's Piece Hello All, The Show season is now well under way, so hopefully everyone is enjoying it. The society has had a sterling start to the show season with the annual Winter Woollies shows being held in both the North & South Islands. We had just over 100 horses attend at both events. Both shows had lovely weather and great feedback from the day. A few changes will be made for next year as each show is a learning curve. We had a great amount of 'first timers' come along and some lovely pinto's that we can look forward to registering this year. The supreme of show at the North Island show was won by Time's Square, beautifully presented by Karen Officer. And the South Island winner and Youngstock champion was the lovely hunter Detroit owned Jenny Linford. The planning is well underway for the Pinto Nationals in both Islands with Brad Denton acting as Sponsorship Manager for the North Island and the SI show committee doing the organising in the South. We have had a brilliant response with most championship classes already sponsored and we still have two months to go!! On a sadder note I would like to express the societies deepest sympathies to Rhiannon Horridge at the loss of her lovely mare White Dove, she has left a beautiful pinto filly who i'm sure will be a force to contend with in future years just like her mum. I look forward to seeing you all out and about at shows supporting as many pinto classes as possible! Regards Aimee Marsh |
