GA023: Proposal for the Establishment of an AU Prison

The Prison at the freezing top of Khar Vozhur Mountain, named Hasdevik (Icelandic for Final City), is by far the most horrible containment center for people who have done crime against the African Union.

Under the secrecy of the Industrium, Prince Jimi is being held in solitary confinement. In other outer cells of the prison, international convicts are held according to their crime. Outer cells arent that bad, and are air conditioned. Inner cells get progressively less nice, upending to the totally pitch black, silent confines of the Blutenhasde (or final blood) where Jimi currently will reside for his 30 year sentence.

We propose that all offenders against security resolutions and against the constitution of the African Union serve their sentence here.

Reasons: 
It's year round below freezing. 
There is no secape, glaciers surround the mountain. 
It's always cold, tall, high, and the best security, so there is no incentive to go there. 
It's always cold, tall, high, and men with walther ppks and bazookas dot the premises, so there is no incentive to escape.

And due to all these reasons, this proposal could decrease any rule-breaking and international crime in the region.  And be rest assured, the prison follws and adheres to all human rights issues, but it by no means as nice as federal state penintentiaries that can be found in your countries.

General Assembly Resolution 24: Election scheduling for the streamlined running of the African Union

It has come to Akhtendum's attention that when a new delegate and AUSG comes to power, either they must overrule votes made by the previous post holder on legislation pending, or else the previous post holder must continue to exercise their votes on legislation from their term.

This is a question currently under scrutiny by consitutional experts, but as it is decided, a further, related issue springs into the limelight. For the first part of the new AUSG's term, legislation of the SC Resolutions is difficult to put through, since the AUSG is working with the previous council.

Akhtendum feels that it would be only logical to run elections to the posts of Security Council in all four regions simultaneous to the election of the AUSG post. The benefits would be a leader with a full collection of nations about him or her who will be able to work for Africa all the way through to the re election date.

In the event that a nation is elected both posts, of councilor and AUSG, the second councilor would logically achieve primacy of place, and the runner up in the regional councilor elections would step into the place of second councilor.[/b]

That the Secretary General/UN Delegate (both nations, should the post become split in the future) be permitted to vote on the election of the Security Council henceforth.

Akhtendum's resolution passes unanimously but one state raised the concern that perhaps Akhtendum was proposing this resolution to extend his term another week, as the UN Delegate's election will be extended one week further than usual. Israel-Palestine, Malawi, and United Faiths, two former UN Delegates, strongly supported the measure.
