Okay, so I have done a real crappy job of keeping this up to date lately.  Here are a bunch of pictures from the last couple of months, mostly of our trip to Florida in February.

TARA'S WEDDING
Here are Valerie and Sarah chilling at home.  Valerie is wearing her favourite hat.  I think she looks pretty cool when she wears it.  It is kind of funny because it is all stretched out from when Dexter wore it as a baby on his huge head.
Dexter had this community service day at his school where they were supposed to dress up like someone who makes the community a better place.  Dex was very proud to be a York Region Police Officer just like Uncle Fred and Aunt Mel.  Sarah did a very nice job of putting together this little outfit on short notice.

A definite highlight of Dexter's year will be our trip down to Roger's Centre (formerly Skydome) to see Monster Jam!  Dexter has become a huge fan and has a couple of toy monster jam trucks at home.  His favourite is Gravedigger, but he also likes the Batman and Superman monsterjams, neither of which were at the Toronto jam.
In February, it was off to Florida for the Cole family to visit Gramms and Popps.  The weather was nice so we went to the beach a few times.  The kids had a great time playing in the sand and putting their feet in the water.  It was a little to cold for swimming though.
We were there for only a day before we had our first big injury.  Valerie was running through a grass field and she trips and lands face first on a concrete parking block.  She ended up with a pretty good shiner and a small cut.  This picture was taken right after it happened, so her black eye isn't that bad yet - you can notice it more in some of the pictures from later on in the week.
Getting around Lake Village was no problem this year.  Dex had a bike and Valerie and I zipped around on a scooter.  Valerie usually wore a helmet so she was safe, just not in this picture.  Dex liked to race up and down the streets and was getting pretty fast on the bike.  This summer he is going to really be moving back home.
The alligator still lives in the pond that sits in the middle of the tin mansions of Lake Village.  She looked a little bigger this year and Sarah wouldn't let us get out of the car to take a picture.  So, this photo is taken from inside the car.  Sarah is still under the notion that alligators have cat like reflexes and will pounce on anyone who walks by.
Dexter's shuffle abilities certainly improved this year.  He took on Popps and I think he may have won.  Although, you must appreciate Popps wearing a Canadian Tire shirt down in Florida!  We also got to watch Gramms play for the Lake Village Vipers travelling team.  High pressure stuff.
The only thing that Dexter really wanted to do in Florida was play mini-golf.  This is his favourite Florida activity by far and his excitement level was through the roof while he played.  Valerie wasn't so bad either, although she was more or less hitting the ball like she was playing hockey.
Mmmmm Hmmmm.  They have a great ice cream place near Gramms and Popps' house.  It is on an orange farm so you can get these really awesome orange mixed flavours that taste like creamsicles.  You can see Val's shiner in this picture.  And for some reason my swimsuit looks a little tight.
One the great things about the old people place is the Saturday morning donuts.  They are huge and the kids love them.
We drove down to Florida without stopping.  The kids were really good, which was a bit of a surprise.  They slept about half the time and watched a lot of movies.  On the way back, we stopped in Pennsylvania for a night.  It was the first time that Dexter and Valerie had ever stayed in a hotel.  Sarah tried to show them how you can take an afternoon nap and watch TV from bed, I showed them how you can jump from bed to bed and do wrestling moves like the RAM JAM (we also saw The Wrestler while we were in FLA).
And finally - a decade after finishing high school - Mark Ormiston has finished his post secondary education.  So what do you get out of 10 years of education?  You get the ability to kill mice instantly using only one hand.  You also get the title of Doctor.
CONGRATULATIONS DOCTOR MARK!
Here is Mark and his very proud mom at the celebratory dinner.
