MACHINE FANTASY BASEBALL LEAGUE
RULES AND REGULATIONS
I.  Management of the League and General Information

1.  The Commissioner
For the purpose of uniformity, all questions regarding these rules and regulations should be directed to the Commissioner, Shawn Smith.  The Commissioner's contact information is as follows:
     Home phone: (717) 576-2714
     Home email:
[email protected]

For receipt of fast answers during the day, Monday through Friday, use the "work" contact information above.  During weekends and evenings, use the home information as listed above.

The Commissioner will provide the league's website (see I(3) below) with updated statistics for the league's franchises and a list of league transactions, in addition to those functions listed below.

2.  The Webmaster
If, for whatever reason, a franchise owner is unable to reach the league's Commissioner, or if there should be any questions regarding the operation of the league's website, those questions should be directed at the league's Webmaster, Jonathan Nilsen.  The Webmaster's contact information is as follows:
     Home number: (781) 789-7298
     Home email:
[email protected]

3. The League's Official Website
All information regarding the league, franchises rosters, franchise statistics, owner information and league transactions can be found on the league's website.

Please note: All information that is posted on the league's website is deemed to be notice to the franchise owners of any changes, transactions or team rosters.  It is the responsibilty of each franchise owner to check the official website for any information which becomes available.

Please note: Any statistics posted on the league's website are for general information and entertainment purposes only.  It is the responsibility of each franchise owner to examine and review their own franchise's statistics from the league's official statistical source.  (see I(4) below)

4.  Official Statistics
USA Today's Baseball Weekly is the league's official statistical guide and is the final authority on all statistical information.  Any and all disputes regarding statistical information throughout the season and at the season's end will be reolved
only through the use of Baseball Weekly.

5.  Effective Date of Transactions
All transactions must be approved by the Commissioner.  The standard of such approval is quite lenient and is only to prevent fraud, as only the individual franchise owners know what is best for their team.

As will be noted specifically below (see III(2)(d) and 3(b) below), a transaction is effective on the date that said transaction is approved by the Commissioner.  The posting of such transaction on the Website is solely the date of notice to the owners, not the date of effectiveness of the transaction.

The exact time of approval is measured by the time where the initial contact to the Commissioner was made, assuming that the requested transaction was given approval.  There is no advantage given to the method of contact-either email or phone.  For example, an email sent to the Commissioner at 6am on Monday, but not viewed until Tuesday is considered
earlier than a phone call made to the Commissioner at 12pm on Monday.
