RULES CONTINUED
2.  Drops
a. Defined
A "drop" allows a team to place a certain player on waivers, or "cut" him and replace that player with another player who has yet to be drafted.

b.  Injury Drops
In a change from previous years, there are no drops specifically for injuries.  As noted earlier, each team possesses one (1) DL spot.  This DL spot is reserved for placing a single player who has been officially placed on the MLB team's Dl list.
Please Note: For the purposes of the DL spot, an "injury" is defined as being placed on a disabled list - for example, the 15-day DL.  "Day to day" is not an injury for these purposes.  A player who is reassigned to the minor leagues during this period is also considered an injury for these purposes.

c.  Drop Pool
Drop/Adds will be allowed at a rate of 2 per week for each team to begin on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.  Acquisitions from free agency can be placed on the active roster (meaning counting towards points) for the following week.  Since the week runs from Sunday to Saturday, you will have to have your roster in by Saturday.
NOTE: that this is a change from previous years.  Each owner will possess 2 new drops every week, as opposed to 10 drops for the entire season.  Weekly drops may NOT be stored, saved or reserved.  If a team does not use some or all of its weekly drops, then that team will still only have 2 drops for the following week.

d.  Trading and Drop
A franchise may trade another franchise for a drop, or may request that the team use a drop and then trade the player aquired via drop.

Please note : Prior to the Supplemental Draft, owners may trade players for drops even if that would result in one owner having a hole on his team.  At the conclusion of the Supplemental Draft, however, a team is not permitted to have any holes on its roster.  Therefore, after the Draft, an owner may only trade a player for a drop as long as it does not result in either owner having a hole on his roster.

e.  Effective date of Drops
A drop is effective upon the approval of the Commissioner.  (see III(5) above)

3.  Trading

a.  Ability to Trade
Any franchise may trade players with any other franchise(s) that the team sees fit, up until a deadline to be set by the Commissioner near the end of the season.  Additionally, franchises may make trades for such things as drops and draft picks for the Supplemental Draft.

b.  Effective Date of the Trad
e
A trade is effective upon approval of the Commissioner. (see III(5) above)   Any trade which appears fraudulent by the Commissioner may, at the Commissioner's discretion, be voided and the status quo ordered to remain.  Prior to any negation of a trade, however, each franchise will be asked for their state of mind regarding the trade.
