Introduction Professor N. R. Das, Professor of Agronomy, Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur - 741252, West Bengal, is himself the writer of the booklet entitled, "Biodata of Professor N. R. Das, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswabvidyalaya, West Bengal". Professor Das himself introduces this booklet to reader. This booklet is his life-time achievement as he is going to retire soon; and this has been divided into two parts such as : (A) Biodata and (B) Academic activities. Research and Extension (popular) publications are recorded in Appendix I and II respectively. He expects all these publications will bring hopes in developments of agriculture of the state vis-a-vis in the country. He will be very thankful if the users (students/researchers/teachers/scientists/planners/administrators etc.), utilize his life-time achievements properly for the benefit of the farming community of the state of West Bengal and as well as of India. updating 'Biodata with academic activities of Professor N. R. Das, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, West Bengal' has been modified with the addition of information since 1995 till date and brought out just before his final retirement at the age of 65 years. He (the author) also feels, as before, that the future development of agriculture in West Bengal as well as in India is very bright. He will be very thankful further if the students, researchers, teachers, scientists, planners, administrators and extension personnel, utilize his research findings, ultimately for the benefit of the farming community of West Bengal, India and the world. He is also thankful to his wife Arati, son Partha, daughter Aparna; daughter-in-law Jayeeta and son-in-law Sandip, for their encouragement of the research work in Agriculture.
