Feather and Fans Dish Cloth
This is another of the basic stitch patterns in knitting. This pattern uses only 4 different types of stitches: knit, purl, yarn forward (yarn over), and knit 2 together. This particular version of the pattern is from a Bernat Handicrafter yarn label.
What Do I Need?
- 1 ball worsted weight cotton yarn
- 1 pair size 8/5.00 mm knitting needles
Where Do I Start?
Cast on 58 sts loosely.
Row 1: * K2, yfwd, K4, (K2tog) twice, K4, yfwd, K1, yfwd, K4, (K2tog) twice, K4, yfwd, K2. Rep from * once more.
Row 2: K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 3: Knit.
Rows 4-6: As 1st-3rd rows. These 6 rows form pat. Rep these 6 rows 9 times more, then rows 1 & 2 once more.
Cast off knitways.
...and a new dish cloth is born!
