Nicole's Crochet Bistro
Crochet and Knitting Links Page
These are web pages and email groups that I have found useful for crocheting, knitting or both.

Of course a great group to belong to is the newsletter for Nicole's Crochet Bistro! Be the first to find out when new patterns or other items are added!

Another great group is the Crochet Bistro Knitting Chat Group. It's a wonderfully supportive group that started out as a place for newbie knitters to feel comfortable asking questions. It has evolved into a great bunch of crafters of all types and skills sharing about their current projects, or just whatever is going on in life!

Need help with learning new stitches? Stitchguide.com has pages for every stitch and technique you've ever heard of, and some you haven't! Most of the instructions come with videos so that you can actually see how the stitches are formed.

A wonderful charity called Heartmade Blessings provides comfortghans and other crocheted items to those in need. This is from their website: "Heartmade Blessings is a not-for-profit, world-wide group of volunteers dedicated to providing hand-crafted items to those people suffering a loss, tragedy, or going through a rough time that need to be reminded of the simple fact that people care. Heartmade Blessings come from all the wonderful people who donate squares for afghans, baby afghans or shawls, pins, cuddles, and other hand-crafted items. They are also made possible through the efforts of the warm, caring people who donate their time in assembling and organizing the distribution of these items to those in need. We truly believe these people are nothing short of a "blessing" themselves."
I personally recieved a comfortghan from the group when I lost my mother in July 2003. You can see a picture of the ghan here. A huge thank you goes out to all those that put their efforts to such a worthy cause. I still well up with tears every time I use my afghan!

I belong to a great group of hookers... err... crocheters {and knitters!} at Crochet Knitting Thoughts. The ladies there are always helpful and knowledgable about any problems you may be having. A very family-friendly group.

I also belong to a wonderful group called We Crochet. The list was originally Canadian-based, but now has members from all over the world... the only requirement for joining is that you love crochet, or want to learn to love it!
