Jelena was knocked out of the 2000 French Open by Kvetoslava Hrdlickova in the second round. She lost 3-6 1-6. She was totally outplayed in the 63 minute match by the player ranked #43 in the world.

Early Scare At French Open
After a shaky start. Jelena Dokic has
recovered to advance to the second round of the French Open 2000. She
defeated former doubles partner Tina Pishnik in 3 sets 3-6 7-6(7-3) 6-4.
Jelena lost the first set and her serve was broken early in the second
but the young teenager rallied and took the second in a tie-break.
She easily won the final set. Well done Jelena, Good luck in the second round.
Jelena to play soon 290500
Jelena's French Open 2000 first round match against Tina Pishnik will

French Open 2000 270500
The draw for the 2000 French Open is out and Jelena will have a tough
first round match against her former doubles partner Tina Pishnik. Tina
is ranked #66 in the world and could provide Jelena with some problems.
The claycourt grandslam begins on May 29. Good luck Jelena!
Italian Open Run Comes To An End 200500
Aussie teenager Jelena Dokic has gone down to Moica Seles in the
quarters of the Italian Open. The scoreline was 1-6 6-3 3-6. Jelena
played well this week beating Venus Williams 6-1 6-2. Well done Jelena!

Same Old Story At The Fed Cup 2000 300400
Australia has been left winless after going down 2-1 to Russia in their
final clash at the Fed Cup 2000. Jelena Dokic defeated Anna Kournikova
6-7 7-5 6-3 to get Australia to a great start but it was short lived
as the other Aussies were defeated again. Jelena comes out of the Fed
Cup with a lot of confidence after a 3-0 whitewash of her singles
matches against quality players Kim Clijsters, Sandrine Testude and
Anna Kournikova. Go Jelena!
Jelena Wins Again, Australia Loses Again 290400
Australia has gone down 2-1 to France in their second clash at the new
format Fed Cup. Australia got off to a bad start with Nicole Pratt
losing to Nathalie Dechy 4-6 7-5 2-6 to give France a 1-0 lead. This
put a lot of pressure on Jelena but she handled it and won again.
Jelena defeated world no.11 Sandrine Testude 7-6 5-7 9-7. Unfortunatley
they lost their third doubles match and were defeated 2-1. They will
continue to play the other countries in their group [C] who are France
, Russia and Belgium in a round robin tournament. But are no longer in
the running for a semi-final birth. Well done Jelena!

format Fed Cup matches. Jelena defeated Kim Clijsters 7-6 5-7 9-7.
Australia got off to a bad start with Nicole Pratt losing to give
Belgium a 1-0 lead. This put a lot of pressure on Jelena but she
handled it perfectly. Unfortunatley they lost their third match and was
defeated 2-1. They will continue to play the other countries in their
