Whats next for Jelena Dokic? rD.4/9/99-8:14am Australian Eastern Time

Hopefully Jelena will qualify for a womens WTA tournament in Germany. The top 20 seeds are automatically qualified and only another 4 qualifiers will be able to get through (hopefully dokic).

In the first match on the Arthur Ashe Court (centre court), 16-year-old Jelena Dokic lasted just 70 minutes against Spain's Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, losing 5-7 1-6 in a swirling wind that made playing very difficult. She was up 4-1 in the first set but lack of experienced caused her to make more unforced errors. Good try Jelena and well done.

Jelena Dokic has helped Australia to get through to the world group of the Fed Cup. Well done girls. Jelena Dokic and Nicole Pratt both won thier final games.

Australia has defeated Argentina in the Fed Cup to advance into the Finals. Unfortunatley Jelena Dokic lost her match. The other aussies girls including Alicia Molik. The results from Jelena's match will be in soon.

Australia has beaten the USA 3-1 to advance to the Semi Finals of the Davis Cup! Patrick Rafter finished it of defeating Tod Martin in a tough 5 setter in the heat of Florida! Well done Aussies!! Jelena Dokic is in Argentina playing in the Fed Cup. Results will be in soon.

Jelena Dokic was in town(Sydney) today helping to sell tickets for the Sydney 2000 Olypic games. She and fellow Ausrtralian Basketballer, Andrew Gaze are only 2 of the many other atheletes helping to get all the tickets sold! Hopefully Dokic can win the Gold at Sydney in 2000.

Jelena Dokic is now back home in Sydney. She has moved from her small 2 bedroom unit in Fairfield across the street into a beautiful Villa. Linzay Davenport and Pete Sampras are the 1999 Wimbledon Champions after their wins over Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi. Pete beat Andre in straight sets 6-3 6-4 7-5 and Linzay beat a not-to-return Graf 6-4 7-5!

SELES BEATS DOKIC in friendly charity match Monica Seles has Beaten Jelena Dokic at the Friendly Oz Australian Fun Day at Melbourne Park. The Score Line was 6-3!!! It was all for a good cause=)! To raise money for Tennis Australia.

JELENA wins her match in the final of the hOpman cup! Jelena Dokic has continued her success beating Asa Carlsson 6-2 7-6(10-8) in a very hard fought win! She was leading in the second set 4-1 but Carlsson made agreat effort to save 3 match points and end up playing a tie-braker. In the tie-breaker Dokic was too strong and pulled of her great win following her previous wins over world no. 4 and 14! Go Jelena KEEP IT UP!
