Keeping up with the latest HIV news

You can effortlessly keep up on the latest HIV/AIDS news, courtesy of Yahoo!. This service is free. Here's how to set up your computer for HIV updates:

1. Go to www.yahoo.com.

2. Click on the Check Email button to create a Yahoo account for yourself if you do not already have one.

3. Click the link that says Sign me up.

4. Fill in the necessary information to create your Yahoo email account.

5. After creating the account, go back to www.yahoo.com.

6. Type "HIV" (without the quotation marks) in the search field and click on Search.

7. Under Inside Yahoo! Matches it says "News: Read the latest headlines for HIV." Click on HIV link.

8. Click on the link that says Alert Me, which is right above the Yahoo News Headline Matches.

9. Enter your Yahoo ID and password in the fields and click on Sign In.

10. Now there are five pieces of information you must fill in. They are:

A. The name of your update. Type "HIV info" (without the quotation marks) here.
B. The word or phrase to search for. Type "HIV" (without the quotation marks) here.
C. The news sources. Put a check mark next to the sources you want to get news from.
D. How you want to be notified. You want to be notified by your Yahoo! email address.
E. The time of day you want the emails to arrive.

11. Click on "Finished."

Yahoo! will now send you periodic updates on HIV/AIDS.
