is NAEA National Student Chapter?

promote the strong leadership, positive advancement, and professional
development of future art educators around the world. |
Our membership consists of students who are registered members of the National Art Education Association (NAEA). The National Student Chapter is headed by the President who is elected annually at the National Conference each spring. This elected individual serves a three-year term on a team that consists of the President-elect, President, Past-president, and Advisor.
What does National Student Chapter do for me?
National Student Chapter:
- Coordinates a variety of sessions and events specifically for students at annual NAEA conventions
- Communicates important information to student members through monthly E-bulletins, the NAEA News, our website, mailings, and other means
- Provides opportunities for growth and advancement to student members
- Supplies timely job openings to student members
- Provides the opportunity for student leaders to hone their skills at the national level as either President or Student Outreach Coordinators
- Nourishes an environment for students to share experiences and ideas
- Encourages camaraderie and friendships among art education students
- Increases communication between local student chapters
- Increases the visibility of students within the art education community
- Advances the understanding and scope of future art educators
- Promotes an exchange of ideas between the art education arena and other disciplines
| Likewise, each college or university has the opportunity to host a local student chapter. Each of these chapters should register with NAEA and contact their national leadership team with any questions or concerns. |  |
