NAEA Student Chapter Contacts

INTRODUCTION: PRESIDENTIAL TEAM

With the increasing amount of responsibilities, the team works together to distribute tasks between members based upon their experience and willingness to accomplish such tasks. As a team, we are obligated to attend the conferences, the Delegates Assembly, most student functions at conferences, and the summer board meeting. In order to prepare for each National Convention and other activities throughout the year, the team communicates through email, phone calls, snail mail, and an annual management meeting during the summer. We are accountable for the promotion of Student Chapters via literature, state conferences, and college chapter's meetings. We work to invite and assist new chapter registrations through continuous communication with universities and art education students.

You can find a description of each office here.

INTRODUCTION: STUDENT OUTREACH COORDINATORS

In an effort to expand leadership opportunities for student members the Presidential Team will appoint two Student Outreach Coordinators each year to serve fellow students in the East and West. SOCs work on behalf of National Student Chapter registering non-registered student chapters and identifying art education programs without student chapters and encouraging them to create one. Beyond that SOCs may encourage collaboration between chapters as well. This responsibility allows students to hone their advocacy skills on a national level while gaining more leadership experience and is a great opportunity for students think about becoming National Student Chapter President.

We are looking for student leaders willing to serve not only Student Chapters across the country but students who are not yet able to benefit from their own Student Chapter. The term is one year and no SOC may serve more than two terms. Please visit our download section for an application.
