Anything Else I Think of that Doesn't Have It's Own Category
Just like all of the books I read, poetry is one of my favorite pastimes. I definetly have ecclectic tastes, ranging from Beowulf to Concrete poetry. This little corner of my site is for all of my random musings about the meaning of poems, as well as a collection of my current favorites! There will probably be some song lyrics in here by the time I'm done... And don't expect everything to be in English... Just because I'm me!
Symphony in Yellow

An omnibus across the bridge
Crawls like a yellow butterfly,
And, here and there, a passer-by
Shows like a little restless midge.

Big barges full of yellow hay
Are moored agains the shadowy wharf,
And like a yellow silken scarf,
The Think fog hangs along the quay.

The yellow leaves begin to fade
And flutter from the Temple elms,
And at my feet the pale green Thames
Lies like a tod of rippled jade.
