Book of the Moment
This section of my mind is all about my favorite book. At least, my favorite book right now. It is subject to rapid and unexplanable change... Genre, time period, style, these things mean nothing to me. I am on a continual quest to find good reading material, and it excites me to share it with people when I've found it. Ideally, this will include some information about the author, and summary of the book... But, since I'm me, you never know what you are going to get! With that in mind, don't expect all of these books to be college level reading, or classics. Some of my very favorite books are a 3rd grade reading level... Home

Title: Pride and Prejudice

Author: Jane Austen

Length: 400 pages

Summary: "It is a fact universally acknowledge that a single man in posession of a fortune must be in want of a wife." So starts my very favorite book of all time. It is the story of the Bennet family, comprised of five daughters, and no sons. Their estate is entailed away from the female line, so it is the goal of Mrs. Bennet's life to get her daughters married off. In Jane Austen's brilliant novel, there is some incredible character development, some amazing dialogue, and the patter for the man I would love to marry! We get to see the thoughts and inner feelings of Elizabeth Bennet, heroine extrordinare. I believe that she is one of the most brilliant and complex character I have ever come across when reading.
