I've always had a fascination with languages. They say that learning a language is the mental equivalent of earning a P.hD, and every 3 year old does it. It blows my mind how simple sounds and tongue movements can mean so much. I love the English language for all of it's words. I have long loved Italian as the language of music. I have learned quite a bit of French, especially during my stay there this autumn. The other languages I am currently learning iare Quenya. It was written by J.R.R. Tolkien for Lord of the Rings. It is the ceremonial language of the Eldar. Quenya is actually a fairly complete language. There isn't any slang, although people like the Grey Company are trying to corrupt it. Quenya is NOT the language you hear in the movies made by Peter Jackson. That is Sindarin, the daily language of the Elves. It is less developed than Quenya, so I'm not learning it right now.
