After what has been an extremely tiring time at work, Steve and I decided to take a break from reality and travel to Guatemala.
Once there, we became green-bellied avocado eaters while I practiced my Spanglish. It amazed me how a seven hour flight was able to take us to volcanos, stunning lakes and Mayan
ruins surrounded by tucans and monkeys. While one week was certainly short, we got a thorough view of this small intriguing country. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone
looking for a scenic vacation.

Steve and I dubbed this guy "Smokey the Cougar."

We got up before sunrise and were rewarded with this. What's up with us
and white stuff? Why couldn't that white stuff leave us alone!

The end to our journey was marked by a trip on what we called the chicken plane. While
it did not literally have chickens in it, while inside the flying bus, we felt that it
would not be wholly inappropriate if there were chickens flying with us.
