Below are quick summaries of all 3 branches of Dragonball.

DRAGONBALL:
This was the part that started it all! A young boy Goku, meets up with a blue haired girl, Bulma, who tells him of seven magical balls, called the Dragonballs. When all seven are  collected, the eternal dragon will appear, and will grant a single wish. Of course, this abnormally strong boy takes the challenge by the horns. Together, they meet many friends, and battle many enemies.
As the story unfolds, you find that no one messes with that big haired boy!

DRAGONBALL Z:
The best one! Goku is joined again by his friends in a reunion, now he was a son (Gohan) and a wife, the daughter of the Ox-King (Chi-Chi). But the fights not over. The epic journey continues, Goku lives on!
More friends, more enemies, and more adventures await Goku in this great story.

DRAGONBALL GT:
This takes 10 years after DBZ. Emperor Pilaf "accidently" wishes Goku to be a child again. The earth is in danger again, and Goku, Pan and Trunks must journey around the galaxy to recover seven dark Dragonballs before the earth explodes.
Another series, another adventure, another journey!
