Goku is the main character of all three series' and is by far the strongest. Though, if he was Goku's age, and continued fighting, Gohan could have reached the heights of Goku.
He has the ability to go all the SSJ forms.
He found he was saiyan when Radditz arrived on earth and told him.
Goku is always in constant competetion with Vegeta, but both are extremally powerful characters.
