The Beginning

hard way how to keep sand out of her boots) and delivers the message from the Council. The druids convene a meeting.

Mirtul 19

After two days of deliberation, the Desert Druids indicate they believe they know the cause of the situation. They describe Belak the outcast; a member of their order who was cast out into the desert for judgment several years ago for experiments that violated the “natural order.” They assign Mar Salac, a young initiate, to accompany Ariana to Oakhurst to investigate. They leave the oasis with a caravan that night.

Mirtul 23

After several days with the caravan, Ariana and Mar increase the size of their party, recruiting several other caravan goers:

  • - Conor Llyldferg, a bard migrating north for the summer season.
  • - Kaldes, a brooding fighter looking for a cause (and loot).
  • - Portia Tealeaf, a nimble and observant halfling.

Mirtul 24

The caravan completes its crossing of the Starspire Moutains. The party breaks from the caravan and heads east. That evening, the party witnesses a bright glow from the south of the road. Investigation leads them to a rocky, circular clearing with a mysterious set of standing stones. One set of horse prints leads into the mountains but the party loses the trail.

Mirtul 25

The party reaches Oakhurst. Common talk of the town is a set of mysterious incidents at outlying farms (crop circles, livestock killed and left with needle marks). Discussion points to ruins to the north of town (the remains of a town decimated by a war).
