The Beginning

Greengrass, 1372

At the feast meal, an attempted assassination occurred of Emmakk Gallum, Constable of Mosstone, through the use of a poisoned apple. It was detected as part of the kitchen staff’s preparations, a typical practice of the local druids before feeding the many.

Mirtul 1

The Archdruid’s Circle of Eight, along with some local ranger’s easily divine and locate the assassins, a small cadre of goblins camped nearby. The goblins refuse to surrender and all die in the battle that follows. Their bodies and possessions are turned over to the Circle for examination. Suspicions are that the humanoids that are starting to move against Amn are trying to discourage any assistance from Tethyr

Mirtul 5

After days of divination and examination, the Circle of Eight finds no connections to the events happening in the north. Instead they find connections to the south, specifically the town of Oakhurst (in the Northern Foot of the Starspire Mountains). Additionally, they detect magic auras on the apple similar to those of the Druids of the Calim Desert.

Mirtul 7

With nothing but circumstantial evidence to go on, a fledgling ranger, Ariana Winterlight is sent as an envoy to the Desert Druids to inform them of events, ask their recommendation and then investigate Oakhurst.
