I grew up in the town of Saradush in the county of Surkazar in the Dutchy of Suretmarch which is located in the southeastern part of Tethyr. As a boy, I would watch my father go off and fight in the battles that took place around Ithal Pass. When I was 10, he and some buddies went off to gain their fortune by finding the mystical city of Myth Dryaalis. He was never heard from again. Someday, I would like to visit Myth Dryaalis to find out what might have happened. Since the city only appears every ten years, some say that Myth Drannor could hold the secret to the cities time schedule.

I learned how to fight in the streets on my city. I was always rather large, so it came pretty naturally to me. After a while I was noticed by the leader of the Saradush Guard. I was then inducted and started cleaning up the town. Many people noticed that I was good, including a very high official in the town of Ithal Pass. He must have pulled a few strings, because the next thing I knew, I was traveling to Ithal Pass to be a bodyguard to Holdarun Gultimus.

Holdarun Gultimus was a minor noble. He lived on the outskirts on town, and was prone to attacks from roving bands of ruffians. It was here that I was trained with the bastard sword. It was here also that Tomas Tapperson murdered Holdarun while I was defending the compound from an attack of what turned out to be thugs hired by Tomas to distract me and the guard. No one from the town, or the surrounding towns, would listen to the guard and see the facts for what they were. Most of the guard took off to find more honorable surroundings.
