Pay no mind to Laric's Tongue of Wagging; sit back and let me tell you more about me.

All I can recall of my deep past is that my father, Glynn Llyldferg, one of the finest minstrels to walk the Realms, raised me from as far back as I can recall to perform for a crowd. I was his street urchin during my earliest years, passing the hat (as it were) and doing odd bits of acrobatics and singing along with him. Father always encouraged my flamboyant side and saw that I had a way with people (especially women) that put them at ease. Not to brag unnecessarily, but that particular tactic has worked wonders for me over and over again.

We never settled down much during my youth, what with all the upheaval and uncertainty in Tethyr. We spent the majority of our time entertaining townsfolk, caravans that we traveled with, and the occasional militia camp during the quiet times between battles during the early Tethyrian civil war. I learned quite a bit about the nobility of Tethyr then, especially considering how many people were trying to kill them all. Amazing lot of ne'er-do-well's (the nobles that is), always more interested in their own hides and their own coffers than taking care of the populace and land they held in trust. Not too criticize our current crop of barons, dukes and earls! These days, the neo-nobility is much more understanding of their duties and responsibilities to the common folk!

I never knew why, but Father always avoided the topic of my mother.
