THE MALAYSIAN STUDENTS DEPARTMENT
FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM AND EIRE

The Malaysian Students Department for the United Kingdom and Eire (Masduke) is part of Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia but administratively is under the High Commission of Malaysia for the United Kingdom. Its mission is "as an enabler in providing efficacious services with regard to the welfare and academic performance of Malaysian students in the UK and EIRE towards facilitating them to develop themselves as knowledge and responsible professionals for nation building and positioning themselves strategically in the highly competitive global markets". Now, the Director of Masduke is Mr. Ahmad Nazri Sulaiman.

MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION, MALAYSIA

The Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education is the responsible body for higher education in Malaysia. Its vision is "to turn Malaysia into a centre of excellence for higher education". Its mission is "to develop and put in place a higher education environment that encourages the growth of premier knowledge centres and individuals who are competent, innovated with high moral values in order to meet national and international needs". Thus, amongst its responsibilities is to oversee Malaysian pursuing higher education in foreign country. Now, the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education is Dato' Mustapa Mohamed.
