Years previously, Harth Fray was on a run with his
twin sister Melaka and they came across the vampire Icarus. Outmatched,
the two attempted to flee, but Icarus grabbed Harth and bit him,
knocking Mel off the roof in the process. Unbeknown to Mel, Harth it
into Icarus' ear and was sired. For years he monitored his sister, aware
that she was the Slayer. He had been receiving the Slayer dreams instead
of his twin and used them to his advantage. Preparing to open a gate to
Hell, Harth launched a massive attack on Haddyn, but was repelled by
Mel, Erin and the residents of Versi. Stunned at the resistance, Harth
kissed Mel and fled into the shadows, no doubt to regroup until another
day.
