P2 was a difficult area to work at -11mpd against sea water to connect the existing tunnel. The sequence of works is :-

1. to close up the diaphragm wall and the existing box before excavation

2. to ensure the water to be under control for dry excavation

3. to keep monitor the movement and settlement

4. to break the 600mm thick bulk head wall of P2 box

 

How to stop the water ??????????

Jimmy Poon was the CON. Engineer

Tiger, the senior inspector of MTRC. Pisan and Raymond Chow were the Engineer in charge of LCAL
