CUSTOM DOOR PANELS

I basically followed Tom Miller's instructions on making these door panels. If you have
been 'DIY-ing' you Bug this is easy and allows you to customize you interior.

This is the masonite ready for the vinyl, etc.
The old fiberboard can be used if it's in good
shape. If not use it as your template for the
replacement ones.

I also made matching dashboard panels from
the masonite and added the guages for a
modest customized dashboard. I then
covered the glove box door and made a shifter
boot from the vinyl used on the door panels.

Here's the installed panel. Be aware that if you
use thicker masonite, you'll have problems
using the clips for the panel. I ended up
attaching the panels with sheet metal screws (I
used plastic screw head covers to make it look
neat). I also added rubber edge trim to finish it
off.
