Village of Ice
Dancing playfully on a platform of ice
toes rising and falling delicately
arms searching uncertainly yet rhythmic
eyes darting, lips full and singing soundlessly
the ice entertainer entices the village of visionaries
enchants their essence.
oohs and aahs encompass
this woman's spirit
her spine tingling
her hips at ease
and unevenly motioning
the ice beneath
smoldering and hot
and devastatively dry
The villagers ascend and applaud exuberantly
as the performer spins into the dry frost
her flesh and gown fashioning one scarlet image.
Veritable demands invade the arena
as a requested encore calms the ice artist
who alluringly stirred this town.
