By June 10 1967 the Six-Day War was completed.  Though Israel was outnumbered, its opponants had underestimated Israel's strength and the entire conflict was decidedly an Israel victory.  Israel captured the Gaza Smith, West Bank, Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, and the other portion of Jerusalem.
Though Israel did gain land through the war, the extended boundaries caused problems for Israel later.  The West Banks had more than 600,000 Arabs who belonged to the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO).  The PLO is a group of terrorists that have been causing internal conflict for Israel since 1967.  Besides the internal conflicts it caused, the war also led Israel to overestimate their strength.  This led to problems in the future.
The entire episode was a disaster to the Arab World.  Nasser, who had been seen as the Arab leader, was weakened.  Also, Arab morale was injured with the defeat of three of its strongest nations.  The defeat caused the Arab nations to take their anger out on the Jewish people living within their boundries.  In Syria, Jews were not allowed emigrate, leaving 4,000 Jews subjected to curfews and restricted education, employment, and movement.
