Hello to all my readers. Due to my complete lack of time to work at this web site, I am asking for someone else to take it over. Please mail me if you are interested and have an interest in Eddings AND can write HTML.

Introduction to Eddings
Ok, I really like David Eddings' books!! They are by far the BEST fantasy books I have ever read. He presents his stories in a world well-explained with a hint of mystery in each world. In his worlds, he sets clear boundries on what can and cannot be done. It makes for a believeable atmosphere where events take place that could happen in this world he has created.
Probably whats even more amazing is his abilities in characterization! He describes his characters
EXTREMELY well! By the time I finish a book of Eddings', I could imagine the character as if it were a real person I had known for a long time. He describes every commanding characteristic to a deep subtlety of a character.....a great talent of Eddings'.
As you might have figured out by now, David Eddings is a fantasy author. However, I feel that you DON'T have to be a fantasy/SF nut to read his books. Before I read Eddings' books, I thought fantasy was an uninteresting genre. David Eddings' books changed that ALL around.
Have I got your attention yet?! Now read on to find summaries of Eddings' books, a short biography of Eddings, and descriptions of the characters!!

Where do I get these books?
I'm almost positive that every major bookstore in the nation has his books. However, bookstores differ WHERE they put his books.
They can be in:
- Fantasy
- Science Fiction
- General Fiction (they really don't belong here, but some bookstores do put them here.)
The Science Fiction Book Club also offers his books. (online!) (This IS a reputable book club)
Don't count on garage sales/thrift shops/flea markets. I have yet to see any Eddings books for sale at these. One thrift shop had TONS of books (plenty of fantasy), but no Eddings!
If you are searching for an online source, try Amazon.

What's coming soon from Eddings?
Polgara the Sorceress is OUT! It is another prequel, telling the story of Polgara through
here eyes. (if you were wondering...I'm waiting for my copy in the mail!)

Other Authors
Here are some other fantasy/sf authors for you to look at. (This is still under construction)

Short Biography of Eddings
David Eddings was born in 1931 in Spokane, Washington. He was raised in the Puget sound area north of Seattle. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, in 1954 and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Washington in 1961. He has served in the US Army, worked as a buyer for the Boeing Co., has been a grocery clerk, and has taught English.
His first novel High Hunt was a contemporary adventure story. The field of Fantasy has always been of interest to him, however, and he turned to The Belgariad in a effort to develop certain technical and philosophical ideas concerning that genre.
David Eddings and his wife, Leigh, currently live Carson City, Nevada.
