for gender)

years old
With the oldest being: 48 years old
and the youngest being: 7 years old
Male....35, or 71%
Female.... 14, or 29%
Analysis
Not much to say. Neither set of responses were surprising (except for the
7 year old age for youngest reader.)
Favorite Series (57 responses)
Belgariad. 49%, or 28 respondants
Malloreon. 30%, or 17 respondants
Elenium... 11%, or 6 respondants
Tamuli.... 11%, or 6 respondants
Analysis:
Nothing too surprising here. I expected the favorite to be the Belgariad.
Favorite Character (55 responses)
Listed in order of votes received
Silk.... 12
Belgarath.... 9
Belgarion.... 9
Polgara.... 7
Sparhawk.... 4
Beldin.... 3
Kal Zakath.... 3
Talen.... 3
Ulath.... 2
Aphrael.... 1
Kalten.... 1
Sephrenia.... 1
Analysis
Not surprising in the top winners here. I was surprised to see Beldin get as many votes as he did, and was really surprised to see Aphrael only get one vote! Considering how many people like her, I'm surprised she didn't do that well. I was also (mildly) shocked that Kal Zakath received any votes at all!
Favorite Elements (56 responses)
All of them equally.... 26, or 47%
Characters.... 20, or 36%
Magic.... 7, or 13%
Storylines.... 2, or 4%
Worlds/Environment.... 1, or 2%
Analysis
Perhaps I could of worded this better. I certainly wasn't expecting the amount of "equal" responses I received. If I had left out the "equal" response, I might of received a more diverse responses. This data does reveal that most people enjoy everything when they read an Eddings book, not just one certain area.
First Series (56 responses)
The Belgariad.... 44, or 79%
The Malloreon.... 2, or 4%
The Elenium.... 9, or 16%
The Tamuli.... 1, or 2%
Analysis
This data revealed that most people who read Eddings books are concerned about getting everything in sequence (although one survey responder remarked that his first Eddings book was The Ruby Knight, 2nd book of the Elenium.)
