The Planning
June 2006
The start of Sekai. After a visit from a friend and playing Final Fantasy X at her home, I wanted to do something with summoning creatures too. At this point, I made up the Ishi and the Yajuu, although I didn't have names for them at the time. I also knew that there was going to be a main character named Keiko.
July 2006
The actual start of making up characters and a story line. Chikao's still called Chion at this point, but I decided to change that quite quickly. His name is the only one that has been changed. Keiko, Nao, Chikao, Umi, Moeka, Sakito and June are now made up, although Umi was still 16 - I turned her 18 later on. Nao's actual origin now is Earth, but I decide to change it for plot purposes.
July 14 2006
The broad outlines for the plot are on paper now, and I start typing the prologue and the first three chapters of the first part. I later switch to writing by hand. I've already decided there are going to be three parts.
August 2006
Mizumi, Rikou and Megami join the gang, and June's now Mizumi's manager. I also make up several versions for a possible ending.
January 2007
I start writing background stories for all characters, including non-important ones such as Shou, Keiko's brother, and Umi's entire family. This is necessary for me to get to know my characters and why they are who they are. Umi's true personality is now much less hyperactive. June also has her reasons for being the character she is.
Summer of 2007
On the computer, there are 15 pages in Verdana 8 - on paper, the number of pages adds up till 63. This makes up for the first half of the first part of the entire story. I'm suffering a bit of a writer's block now.
October 2007
Not many pages are written now - 69 as of now. But I've written quite some background stories. I now know why Sakito is the way he is, and I actually feel for the guy. Which is good, but I still haven't written Keiko's background story. There are also some scenes written that might or might not pop up in the actual story, but we'll see. Time will tell!
February 2008
Wow, it's been quite a while! But finally, the first part of Sekai is finished. It has 79 pages in total and still needs to be typed and corrected, for many, many times probably. But it's done, and part two can start off now!
April 2008
Again, I'm suffering from a writer's block. Right now, I'm busy with page 84, so Part 2 isn't coming along too well. But I have a lot of ideas for dialogues and things I want to be revealed, so I'm confident about the future of the story. I've already come this far with it, so I'm not giving up now!

Sekai started out on paper exactly two years ago now! How time flies... Just for the heck of it, I wrote several sentences to the main story, which isn't coming along as I want it to in speed of updating. I have started two side stories though - Sekai High, all characters in a high school, and History of Sekai, which looks back on the story several years in the future. I also thought out Mizumi's background story, which I'm planning to write out soon.
