*The World of Sekai*
Cross-overs
I think you've already noticed at least two cross-overs in the characters list: Mizumi and Rikou. And it's true, I use those two characters a lot. I used Sekai as an excuse to have my characters appear again, and here, you can find out who and what! Note: I'll mention ALL cross-over characters here, even those who aren't likely to show up. Order is completely random!
Mizumi Gintori
Does she even need an introduction? If you've browsed through my stories, you've noticed she pops up in quite a lot of them. Her roots are from Sailor Moon N, however, where she used to be the fourteen year old Marina Zilvervlerk (Silverwing in English). This is, however, in the very old, Dutch version of the story, which I abandoned a LONG time ago. But they are the roots for her artistic name, Marina Tsubasa. I still used Marina, but 'translated' Silverwing as Tsubasa - wing in Japanese. The concept of her being an artist isn't new: I used it in a story I started long ago, also dealing with a kind of 'other world', but I abandoned it.
Mizumi hasn't changed much in Sekai from her previous incarnations, although she's a lot more confident - and a lot sadder, in despite of her famous life. Or is it because of her famous life?
Rikou Akarino
Also known as Rik, Rikoh or Riko Akarino, he pops up as Mizumi's boyfriend in almost all of my stories. So, no introduction needed on his side either I guess ^_~
Rikou changed quite a bit in Sekai. He's grown up without love, as it wasn't permitted on his own planet, and that certainly shaped him. He's really self-conscious and hardly dares to speak to Mizumi, leaving it up to her to make the first move. Quite a change from his versions in Sailor Moon N, Mizumi's Diary etc....
Sakana Yamamoto
Sakana hasn't appeared for now, but she'll pop up soon as one of the few doctors in Sekai who have studied on Earth.
Sakana's roots are from my Sailor Moon N story, where she makes a brief appearance. Her real story is told in 'Uranai no Sekai', World of Fortune-Telling, which is still in progress. She used to be a happy girl without worries - until she found out she could predict things and her mother and her lover both got killed. You can imagine she wasn't that happy anymore after that.
Luckily, she's without worries in Sekai, and she can freely do what she likes best - helping people.
Ameiru Natsuso
Also a character from Sailor Moon N, Ameiru appears as taxi driver as Keiko, Nao and Chikao need to travel a long way.
Ameiru is the Neptune Princess in my story, very aware of her tasks and protective over those who are supposed to protect her. In Sekai, not much of her character is clarified, but I doubt she's changed much ^_~
Megami
Megami's roots are from a story from a LONG way back. She was still white back then and only made one noise: 'Kyapuu'! She was used by the main character, Mizuki, to contact three goddesses. I dropped this story long time ago, but I used Megami again in the story that's the root of Mizumi's idol concept. She had the same function as she has in Sekai: being a cute tag-a-long, giving Mizumi some moral support and doing what's she's best at - acting cute.
Hiroshi Fujisawa
I doubt he'll play a big role in Sekai, but he's certainly there - Hiroshi Fujisawa. He's from Tenka, as Mizumi, but unlike her and all others, his memories are actually intact. But he decided not to use his knowledge in a bad way and became an expert in technics - with a little help of magic. He's the creator of Megami and secretly a big fan of Mizumi's songs.
Hiroshi's originally the main character in a story that's been in progress for a long, long time: Rainbow Treasure. In that story, he witnesses how a girl's being shot, and he accidentally brings her back to life with technics. In the story, he's a genius, though nave when it comes to daily life. And he's nothing different in Sekai when it comes to being in love...
Ayumi Tezuka
Ayumi is from the same story as Hiroshi above, although her real name there is Niji. She's the girl who's being shot in the very beginning of the story.
Ayumi's polite, very polite even in Sekai, as she's bound by the rules of her home planet. But she's just as nave as Hiroshi, leading to quite some trouble. He's taken her in his house after their encounter, and he's even taught her some tricks of his home planet. An unusual thing to do for Hiroshi, but just as in Rainbow Treasure, it takes quite a while before Ayumi realizes saving one's life or helping one that much might mean more than friendship...
Hitori and Meruka Sachi-Haraguchi
These two find their roots in my Sailor Moon fanfiction, Sailor Moon N/Warriors of Neptune. In that story, Hitori is Sailor Naiad and Meruka is her little sister, who by chance can detect Demons.
In Sekai, or rather, in Yochi, they're the older sisters of Chikao. Their mother was mr. Haraguchi's third wife, and she couldn't take it that he married a woman once again. She therefore left his house with her two children, who were around the only siblings of Chikao's he's ever truly liked. They are both very lovable, active and even a bit hectic characters.
That was all for now, but prepare for more to come in the near future!
