Yuhki Kuramoto was born on September 10th, 1951 in Japan. He started playing the piano since he was very young. During his school days, he loved listening to Sergej Wassiljewitsch Rachmaninov's music and started performing his piano skills as an amateur classical pianist.
However, it is very surprising that he graduated Tokyo Mechanics University majoring in Advanced Physics. After receiving a master's degree in Advanced Physics, he decided to be a musician instead of a scholar.
Yuhki Kuramoto says he succeeded as a musicianist because he tried to play and feel all kinds of genres in music from jazz to children's songs. This various experiences in music style gave him broad musicality.
When Yuhki Kuramoto released his first solo album, it was a great hit! A music track called "Lake Louise" was loved by so many people and his debut was a great success. Luckily, he got great remarks from music critics and that made Yuki Guramoto to release more of his original albums.
He is very much loved by Korean fans because of his heart-breaking lyricism. His CDs are always one of the best sales item in Korea and when he came to Korea on May 2001, his concert tickets were all sold out in a few days.

Yuhki Kuramoto is perhaps the best known New Age musician in Korea and Japan. Of course, he does have some pretty good music too for a musician who does not read or write music. He's a natural and does it well.
His soft melody of acoustic piano pieces are well balanced between elaborate moderateness and emotionalism. Like George Winston, Yuhki Kuramoto also incorporates a theme "Nature" in his music. However, while George Winston's music is rather cold, you can feel some mildness and warmth in Yuhki Kurmaoto's music. Perhaps his oriental emotionalism just fits me. Whenever I listen to his music, I feel very peaceful and can concentrate on things. Thus, I usually listen to Yuhki Kuramoto's music when I don't feel good or when I have a bunch of work to do.
Yuhki Guramoto's music - makes you think that sadness is beautiful. Thus his music is loved by people who have experienced sad moments, especially who experienced heart breakness by breaking up with their loved ones. When you fall deeply into his music, you will feel that sadness is also beautiful.
