New Age Music.
Here, within my homepage, you will learn some of my favorite New Age musicians, such as David Lanz, Yuki Guramoto, Steve Barakatt, and Kevin Kern. New Age music is like unpolluted music since it does not harm teenager's sentiment and at the same time it is burdenless when listening to it.
There are many variations within the New Age music, however, I prefer listening to "Neo-classical" type of New Age music, which is the acoustical sounds of piano, winds, guitar and other soft-sound-making-instruments.
This "Neo-classical" new age music is closely related with Oriental music. Musicians who felt uneasy about the hard rock were fascinated by the Oriental mysterious music. They felt the still sound of Oriental music can overcome the frivolous Pop music and hypocritical Classical music. These musicians used pianos, synthesizers, guitars and other instruments to express the maximum "sound of nature" rather than the "sound of artificial instruments."
Nowadays many radio stations are beginning to give New Age Music more air play, and so New Age music is rapidly gaining popularity as more artists and recording companies emerge.
