My life was led with not very many problems and was very simple. I was raised in the outskirts of Arafel in a farming village. We were close to the Blight, but the guards always kept us safe. One of those guards was my dad. He was the noblest of men. He fought trollocs to keep my mother, my sister Deema, and myself safe. One day he never returned. The officers reported that although they weren't sure he was dead, they assumed it because he was lost in the Blight. From then on, I became the man of the house. I had to farm to keep the family going, and I became quite good at it.
My mother soon remarried to a man with the last name Whitten, the same day I married Prelia. Whitten came from a heroic family and was quite good for my mother. This left me to pursue my one and only passion; Prelia. We were so much in love. The sun only rose to see her face. We had a daughter, Balime, and lived happily on our farm for almost 20 years.
Then it happened. A day that I won't forget till the day I die. I went into town to buy my wife her birthday present, which was the next day. I came to find the entire village in flame with these monstrous trollocs pillaging. I ran home to find both my wife and child dead. I held their still warm bodies in my arms and wept. "Why wasn't I there to protect them?", I said. And the more I thought of it, the more I hated the Dark One and everything about him. I went into a blind rage soon after that. I don't remember much, but when I awoke I was almost dead surrounded by trolloc bodies. Although near death, I vowed that day to never cease in fighting against trollocs. They took away everything I cared for and I was going to make them pay.
There was a local mercenary group that dealt specifically with the Blight. This was a perfect outfit for me because the army had let my village burn. Although older and much less experienced, they let me join. I decided to go against the traditions of my people in two ways; one, I wear my hair in three braids, not two. Each braid represents the family that used to be. And I decided not to use the longsword as my primary weapon. The damage that it inflicts is not as much as a greatsword, which represents my fury much better. Now I fight trollocs and anything from the Blight to the bitter end.
