Effion Obassi stands at five feet five inches and weighs approximately 12 stone. She has long, dark brown hair and extremely dark brown eyes. Her skin is darkened from the sun and even and the relatively young age of 21 her face is hard, tempered in the elements. She dresses in greens and browns, and she's never worn a dress. She carries a worn longsword, old but still functional. She also carries a very well-cared for longbow.
Effion has only ever known the wilderness, even though she was born in Cairhien. Born to an unknown Cairhienen noble woman, Effion was spirited away from any civilization shortly after she was born. Her father had been a military man in Caemlyn before he fell in love with the Cairhienen woman and went to live in Cairhien. Shortly after Effion was born, her mother was murdered in some court intrigue. Forsaking the world of men, her father took her out into the wilderness. Roaming wherever they could and avoiding civilization, Effion and her father lived as creatures of the forest, taking only what they needed to live.
Effion is cool, but if something threatens her or a companion she is quick to anger and expresses her anger most eloquently with her bow. She is most at home in the deep forest, but any wild land not settled suits her just fine. Her father impressed upon her a deep distrust of cities, and although she has been to Caemlyn a few times, she does not like it, and is constantly on edge while there.
Effion has the fighting skills her father taught her, and the skills of the wilderness. She is only semi-literate, however, only learning what she could from her father scratching symbols in the dirt, or scratching them on a piece of wood. She has decided she's like to know more, but has yet to find a teacher.
