Above is Mike Murphy's gun jeep. Mike was with "C" Company of the 716th MPs when TET struck. Below a photo of a deuce and a half that took RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) fire when responding to a BOQ (Billet Officer's Quarters) under attack during the initial assault. To the right are two 716th MPs chatting back at base. Both were killed when responding to the fighting. If anyone has names, please contact me so that I can do an appropriate memorial for them. |
