The series came out after Fushigi Yuugi and many Fushigi Yuugi fans agree that Yuu Watase had created another hit series. Though the storyline is much more darker, it's equal to Fushigi Yuugi in suspense, romance, and a fast paced storyline leaving the readers wanting more. Though I admit that Yuu Watase's art has become much more dramatic and detailed, the art just takes the reader's breath away!

Imadoki,is a much more lighter and humorous story than Ayashi no Ceres (though I still love both series), I guess Watase-sensei thought readers needed a break from the seriousness of Ayashi no Ceres and decided to write a shorter (only 5 vols) and lighter story that would surely give readers a laugh or two.

Alice 19th is Watase-sensei's latest work it's currently running in Shocomi, I don't really know much about it but Watase-sensei is making a trend of coming back to creating stories with a regular teenage girl having love trouble. Though Alice is really different from Imadoki it's similar. Watase-sensei used to write stories based on mythology such as Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. But with Imadoki she's coming back to a more fictional romance instead of fantasy.
