The Evolution of American Revolution

Who are we talking about?
My Aunt Alice first introduced me to genealogy.  She was the president of her local chapter of the DAR in New Jersey, and she had shown our descendancy from Jason Newton, a soldier in the American Revolution.  (mad props to Aunt Alice!).  Years later, I have found that Jason Newton wasn't my only revolutionary ancestor.
Here are a few of the folks who fought in the American Revolution: some Colonists, some British, and some supporting "others".
French & Indian War:
Jason Newton 1736-1812 (for the English)
Pierre Vivet dit Sanschagrin 1724-1810 (for the French)
The War of Independence:
Lt. Samuel Campbell  1736-1819
Lt Jacob Gould 1737-1805?
Pvt. Oliver Arnold 1746-1834
Pvt. Gideon Hewitt 1748-1837
Pvt Uriah Harrington 1762-1832
Pvt. Jason Newton 1762-1842
War of 1812:
Thomas Collins Newton 1792- 1860+
Connections:
Elizabeth Hale was the sister of
Enoch & Nathan Hale (not the famous spy), both Colonels in the American Revolution.
Pierre Vivet's son-in-law, Michel Maynone, was a "Hessian" (from Mainz, Prussia), a "Chausseur" (sharpshooter) in von Creuzbourg's Jger Corps, fighting against the Colonists.
One of the most interesting sources of info about the Revolutionary War Soldiers is their Pension Records.  June 1832 Congress passed an act offering pensions to those fought in the Revolutionary War.  These documents are statements made by our ancestors themselves.  They include: when they served, who their units & officers were, significant events that they participated in, any significant persons met, and date & place of birth.  They may also include a list of places the person has lived since the war.
Pension records have been found and transcribed for the following: Pvt. Jason Newton, Pvt. Uriah Harrington, Pvt. Oliver Arnold, Pvt, Gideon Hewitt, Lt. Jacob Gould.
