Sage Allegorical, the halfling, was born in Waterdeep as a human, named Sagerious Allegorical, to Fuer and Sapience Allegorical on the 15th of Kythorn, 1352, the Year of the Dragon. Sage grew up in a comfortable home, in which all he needed
was provided for and he was comfortable enough to become familiar with many of the time's luxur-
ies. Sage's father, Fuer, was a commoner by birth, but a successful businessman by trade, dealing in
the import and export of goods to and from Waterdeep via both ship and caravan. Fuer owned a
small merchant coster, humbly named Reliable Transports, which consisted of two small cargo ships
and six four-horse wagons. At every opportunity, Sage would travel with his father to some of the more
regular destinations, including Loudwater, Secomber, Triboar, and traveling at least once to Silvermoon and
Candlekeep. Sage particuralry enjoyed ventures in which his father was transporting various texts. During
those excursions, Sage would ride along with the caravan, trying to read as many books as he could before
dropping them off at their destination. His favorite and most memorable of those particular voyages was a sea
voyage to Candlekeep.

As Sage entered adolescence, it became clear to his parents that he was not only becoming highly educated
(without a tutor of any kind), but that he was displaying a tremendous potential as a practitioner of the Art. When
Sage was 16 years old, clergymen of Azuth in Waterdeep gave him a very small spellbook containing two simple
spells, mage armor and sleep, which he managed to master in less than a week. Recognizing the degree of skill
needed to accomplish such a feat, Fuer sent his son to study the Art under the tutelage of Sage's uncle, Aethelmed
Maeve, a lecturer with the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors. With his uncle's help, Sage learned magical
history and lore very quickly and was soon anxious to test his skills on the open road. His parents were against this idea, however, believing him to be too young, and so forbade him from venturing out on his own until he had grow older and had learned more. Sage was discouraged, but continued his studies until they were suddenly cut short when his uncle was taken from life by old age. With his mentor gone, Sage, now 19 winters old, became anxious yet again to test himself in the world abroad. This time he received his parents' blessing, and so it was that Sage walked away from Waterdeep with a happy heart full of dreams that led him all the way to Highmoon, in Deepingdale.

During his tutelage with his uncle, Sage began to recognize the higher order of life and his surrounding world, as many adolescents do. Along with this realization came a desire to learn more of the higher order of things as well as to look inward for his own driving purpose, his own reason for carrying on each day, and where his moral dispositions fell. For these answers, Sage turned to both The Binder of What is Known, Oghma, and The Lady of Mysteries, Mystra. He has since expressed a continually deepening love for knowledge and lore, which are of Oghma's realm, and of the arcane arts, of Mystra's realm.

Since his initial arrival at Highmoon, Sage has learned more of the lore of magic and has mastered it's ways at an unprecedented rate, reaching the status of Archmage in less than a year and a half. Too, during this same timeframe, Sage has become a hero in the eyes of the Dalelands. Sage has not only served as an official representative of the Dales, but he has also taken up the mantle of the late Rhauntides and become the new Sage of Highmoon (a pun that Highmoon locals find hilarious). All of this was done with the help of the now famous band of adventurers, the Hand of Valor, of which he was the founding leader.

Through his travels and studies, Sage began to drift away from the teachings of Oghma and instead found his heart more in alignment with Mystra. As this devotion grew, it soon became clear to Sage that he wanted to do more for his Lady of Mysteries, something none had done before him. With that daunting ambition guiding his thoughts and his steps, the Sage of Highmoon established a unique order in support of the Weave, the Art, practitioners of the Art, Mystra, and even Azuth, patron of mages. This organization he named the
Repositorium Arcana; it is a network of wizards, clerics, and other operatives (as well as their informants, friends, and allies), whose driving purpose is to seek out hidden or lost magical lore and magic items for preservation and study; to thwart the movements of magical tyrants who give magic a disagreeable reputation; and use its resources to craft unique magical items and spells for distribution throughout Faerun.

It has become clear to Sage  and the rest of the Hand of Valor that they are now intimately entwined within a destiny that is still unfolding. Thus, while the halfling archmage has been marked as a wonder by some and a curse by others, Sage's future is as of yet uncertain, and he will likely be involved in many more dangerous quests as the Hand of Valor teases out their role in history. Nevertheless, what is certain is that Sage is meant for great things and that the world of Faerun has already been affected by his talents and good heart for the better.

As for Sage's parents, they are both alive and well, prospering in Waterdeep more than ever, with Reliable Transports having grown to include 3 ships and 10 4-horse wagons. Sage still visits them when he is in Waterdeep, and his parents are proud indeed of their son's accomplishments, though they have begun to become concerned with his safety as his reputation spreads and his power grows, for they are both wise enough to know that such accomplishments often attract unwanted attention.

Though Sage and the Hand of Valor have accomplished much, it cannot be said that they have done so alone. A review of the lives of any of the heroes in The Hand would not be complete without recognition given to those who have helped along the way, which includes multiple Leaders, Lords, and regents, even a chosen of Mystra. Sage would like to offer expressed thanks to the following citizens of Faerun (presented in no particular order): Rog Uinta, Ifateyu Jaziri, Uruk Sishomeru, Havython Ironclaw, Ilyuandiralan, Theremen Ulath, Geode, Haresk Malorn, Father Danali, Jhenna Iliathor, Derim Whiteshield, Seeker, Huitzilopotchtli, Symrustar Auglamyr, Talus and Axis, Dalin Coalfist, Thelda Thurbann, Luvon Greencloak, Coronal Aravae Irithyl, Mother Teesha, Princess Alusair Nacacia Obarskyr, Caladnei, Llewan Aspenwold, Ellarian Dawnhorn, Naolos, Queen Amlaruil Moonflower, Saithnar the Warlord, Viday, Elder Bendar, Irreph Mulmar, Teesha Than, Borlen, Skimala Darkove, Beraun Spellstar, Sages beloved parents, and many others.
