Do you know the correct time to throw the ball during your receivers routes? When to jam that button at the perfect time to make a terrific catch or a game winning play? Well if you don't then get out the playbook and start cramming... erm... that doesn't sound like to much fun... isn't there any other way??? Of course! This mini-game will drastically improve your ability to read the routes and throw the ball at the perfect time. It's a fine art, but with a lot of practice, you could be the next Dan Marino, Joe Montana, or how about Joe Namath? Ok I don't know about that in the real world, but in madden you certainly could be, and why not? Get out there and prove yourself soldier!

Here is what you need to do to score some points:
- 25 Points for throwing the ball through a bronze colored ring
- 50 Points for throwing the ball through a silver colored ring
- 75 Points for throwing the ball through a gold colored ring
- 20 Point bonus if the receiver catches the ball
- Bonus for user controlled receptions
- Bonus for catch and turn user controlled receptions

You have a two WR one TE set. It's go time, 3rd and 5. The defense is playing tight man to man and you know you must hit your target at the perfect time during his route. Can you do it? Well you're going to have to because the game is on the line! Here is your chance to get some practice and master your ability to read your receivers routes.
This mini game can be very tough indeed. It may just be one of the hardest mini-games of the bunch. Knowing how to time your receivers patterns just right is no easy task. Im not going to lie it will take a lot of madden playing to get them down pact. If you love madden that won't be a problem though, so get out there and do your best.
- Basically on this drill you will have to throw it through the defenders (rings) to your wide outs or tight end. If you have ever heard of threading the needle then you know what this drill is all about. Knowing when to throw and how hard to throw it is key in this game. If your receiver is running a comeback or an out pattern, it'd be best to bullet it. On the slants and posts you'll still want to bullet it, but just throw the ball a few steps before the receiver reaches the target. It's not always that easy though. For example if your quarterback doesn't have his feet set, he'll throw off balance and could muff the pass. So be sure to get your feet set, step up, and toss the ball through the ring.
- Lobbing the ball can be very fun to watch as the ball soars through the air, over the defender, and into your receivers hands. Unfortunately, in this mini-game, things don't happen like that. On the flag and fly routes you'll have to experiment using the lob pass more. Rolling out to line yourself up with the ring is some good advice. However, don't take to long or your receiver will blow right past the ring! Also, via Prima, I found out that using the analog stick you can throw the ball to the inside or the outside of your receiver. This probably won't help much in this mini game, but be sure to use it on floaters in the corner of the endzone come game time.
