Children and adolescents with Conduct Disorder typically are physically aggressive and behave in a manor that violates the rights of others, and disregards societies rules.

Stealing, mugging, starting fights, vandalizing, arson, substance abuse, truancy, physical cruelty to people or animals, lying, rape and sometimes even homicide are behaviors seen in a child with Conduct Disorder.

The psychiatric association recommends that a child be evaluated if exhibiting three or more of these behaviors.
The violent and socially un-acceptable behavior of children with Conduct Disorder is often confused with juvenile delinquency, or "the normal stresses of being a teenager". Therefore, Conduct Disorders often go un-diagnosed. Unfortunately, this disorder persists if left untreated, so early therapeutic intervention is essential.
