The Pacific Princess sailed into our homes every week for nine years.  The show was created by Aaron Spelling, who was inspired by a best-selling memoir by Jeraldine Saunders, who at that time, was the world's only female cruise director.

The show was known for creating stories about comedic love starring an engaging cast, many stars from TV and movies, up-and-coming talented people, and exciting locations.  The backdrop for this TV show was the beautiful Pacific Princess cruise ship.

Carnival's bid for purchase of Princess Cruises was accepted in late-October, 2002.  As it is Carnival's policy to have each cruise line run their day-to-day operations in their own fashion, it is expected that there will be no major changes in Princess Cruise's operations.

As a side-note, the series had a very catchy theme song.  To see and hear the words to this song and bring back memories of the 1980's, click here.
