I see your face break through the ice
And take its first breath,
Only to sink in the chill
Of your own fantasy
You dig your claws in
And try to pull me down
Into the fiction you present
For me
Meaningless
And vague.

I need to zap something with lightning…
I am supposed to love
But this breaks my heart
This creates a need to do SOMETHING drastic
Can I not force a change in this path-
Was it intended
Was it needed?
Was it part of the original plan?
I know it was but to endure this
When I want to heal
And allow all to grow…
I am so angry I want to burst into flame
Shout oracle warnings at the world
And fill the sky with flowers…
Just to make the point.
Make the stars appear here, now.
Make them float right about our heads
Let each take one and carry it home in a lantern
And keep it there to be reminded of the power of dreaming

Shriek from a gilded cage

The ashes of the dead will choke in my throat
The purgatory of this life right now

I want you to see the pain you inflict…

the infinite sorrows you cause

With your power

Throbbing in our veins…
Ready to explode with the intensity

And yet my rage
At your action
At the consequences
Of these stolen moments

At my own soul
How can I burn so in anger?
The pain you create
Feeds inner explosions
That whirl and twist and burn

Yet I want to heal the damage

How dare you touch the sacred
And profane it with your presence
Nightmare of mine

With the treachery

On those near and dear
