Joanna did extremely well in school and in junior high developed an interest in the marching band, as well as girl scouts. She played the clarinet and was able to go on several trips with the band, including Washington, D.C. for the inauguration parade and a trip to Austria. In addition to always winning their competitions, the band played every year at the Carousel Thanksgiving Day parade in Charlotte, NC. She excelled in science and mathematics as well by the time she graduated from high school.
Joanna went on to UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated in 1999. She loves to travel and her graduation gift from her parents was a trip to London, Rome and Paris with her mom (very clever, Carolyn!) She has her own apartment and is currently working in the airline industry. She loves her boyfriend, Dave, computers, history, traveling, music, karaoke and golf and her brand new dog, Feisty. She's also making her own web page here. She's all grown up now, but to us she'll always be--"our little Jojie".
