Debbie was born in 1957 and even though there eventually were an equal six of us, because Greg was the only boy she got the middle child rap. Once Deb could walk much, the family said you couldn't hold and cuddle her any more. She was off and running; a healthy happy little girl who was so enthusiastic and independent she kind of got pushed aside when younger sister Kim was so sick. When you look up the word "irrepressible" in the dictionary, Deb's picture is in there at the age of 5. Around that age she became enamored of the song "Tequila" by the Champs (I had the midi of "Tequila" on here until the midi wars or fights or whatever they are started up) and the television show "Leave It To Beaver". We knew it was our job whenever that TV show came on to yell, "Get Debbie, "Beaver's on"! Debbie loved school and had lots of friends. She has stayed in contact with many of these people, too. Debbie was in the school band in high school, playing the drums and also performed in a couple of high school plays, including "Li'l Abner".
Today Debbie is a vital part of the company my father left us. She loves her kids; music; dancing; playing cards and the business. She's a lot of fun and has a great sense of humor. She enjoys "Creative Memories" scrap-booking, too. She's a single mother now, living on the lake with "Adrian" and "MacKenzie" and her step-daughter, "Li'l Kim", is grown now with her own kids and lives nearby. Her kids' activities take up a lot of her time, but she still likes to get out to the movies and dinner occasionally and belongs to a card-playing club (along with Carolyn) from St. Dorothy's. She also enjoys travel and has been to England with Carolyn as well as some smaller trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Lexington, Kentucky. This August she will be traveling to Chicago. |
