The Six of Us

The six of us...

Now three of us, Carolyn, Greg and Lori, c. 1956. Greg is fighting to keep from being squeezed out here, poor boy.

Four of us: Lori, Carolyn, Greg and Debbie, Easter 1959. Dad loved taking shots like this, We look like a 1950's doo-wop singing group.

Five kids now...at a picnic on the way to Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Kellogg's and little green plastic frogmen for which we used to save up boxtops!): Carolyn, Kim, Lori, Debbie and Greg (isn't he amusing?). We're eating hot goulash, milk, bread and butter and Mom has hot coffee for the adults. Don't I look happy to be with my family instead of my peers?

Finally six of us...Jacki, Kim, Debbie, Greg, Carolyn and Lori 1963. Mom and Dad took this photo and had it made into one of those Christmas cards. And in those days people were actually happy to receive them (look, Herb, the Steeles had ANOTHER kid...)

One of us...just Lori

Then two of us, Lori and Carolyn (plus Mumma). Daddy's knocking through a door and a half wall where the wall and window used to be. He's making a breezeway and an attached garage (exciting!).
