First of all, let get the facts that the word "trinity" does not
appears in the bible. Trinity is the belief that there are three
different God dwelling in unity as one. Now, God created man in His
own image, are you three person working together?
Man is made up soul (seat of our emotions, is man- forever), body
(flesh and blood- temporary) and spirit (breath of God- belongs to
God, will return to Him). However, man is yet one being, not three
in one. "The Father in creation, the Son in redemption, the Holy Spirit
in regeneration." This quotation tries to summarize God in the three
main characteristics. 1 Corinthians 12:6 "And there are diversities
of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all."
Here Paul show that the same God works in different administrations,
diversities of operations and many various manner God has revealed
Himself to mankind. It is logically impossibly for two of us to
agree on everything, every decision, much less three of us. So, I
don't think if there were three God in one, they could agree on all
things, although they would be God, as a matter and fact they would
be called Gods!
In 1 John 5:7 it states "For there are three that bear record in
heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three
are one." The scripture state, the Father, the Word and the Holy
Ghost, not the father, son and Holy Ghost. This is confirms John 1:1
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. " 14a " And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
..." Here we understand that Jesus was God's word, and if He
is the word of God, He is not a separate being. It also states that
these are one, not agree in one as stated in 1 John 5:8 "And there
are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and
the blood: and these three agree in one." Clearly, the Spirit,, the
water and the blood are different entities, but agree in one.
Hear the testimony of
God Himself, in Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is
one LORD:"
Isaiah 43:11 "I, even
I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."
Isaiah 44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his
redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and
beside me there is no God."
Isaiah 44:8 "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee
from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is
there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."
Isaiah 45:5 "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God
beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:"
Isaiah 45:6 "That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from
the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is
none else."
Isaiah 45:21 "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take
counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath
told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God
else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."
Hosea 13:4 Yet I am
the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god
but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
The Phrase "one God" appears in the bible seven times (seven
biblical means perfection/ completion), here are the records:
Malachi 2:10a "Have we not all one father? hath not one
God created us?..." Here, we see Malachi asking the question of one
God and one Father, knowing the answer is definitely yes.
Mark 12:32 "And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master,
thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none
other but he:" Here we see that the scribes (persons who held
various important offices in the public affairs of the nation. The
scribes acted as secretaries of state, later the scribes turned
their attention to the law, and then devolved the duty of
multiplying copies of the law and of teaching it to others),
confessing the deity of (only one) God.
Apostle Paul, been a well educated person in the Law of God,
called to be an apostle to the gentiles , wrote in Romans
3:30 "Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision
by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. " In 1 Corinthians 8:6
"But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things,
and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things,
and we by him. He wrote in Ephesians 4:5-6 that "One Lord,
one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all,
and through all, and in you all." Proving again that there is only
one God. To Timothy he wrote in 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is
one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus;". The apostle confirm that the is "only one God".
The epistle of James, he wrote "Thou believest that there is one
God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble" (James
2:19). That mean the only to do well in the knowledge of God, is
to believe in the One God that exist. Imagine, the devil is the
father of lies, and he was cast from the presence of God, and
appears before Him to make request to touch us, and believe ( know)
that there is only one, and only believe but also trembles, because
of that knowledge, so then, what should you believe?
The phrase the "The Holy one of Israel" appears in the bible
thirty one time. Here are some quotations:
Psalms 71:22 I will also praise thee with the
psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the
harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant
of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
Isaiah 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye
men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the
Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Isaiah 43:14 Thus saith the LORD, your
redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent …
Isaiah 47:4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of
hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband;
the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of
Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Now
let us, look on Jesus, in Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spake
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth." Now, if all power is give to Jesus, what is left for the
Father, and the Holy Ghost, if they are different beings.
In 1
Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory." Paul confirms that the Word/ God was
made flesh, manifesting Himself to us, because God is a Spirit, and
we cannot see spirit. Paul also states that in Colossians 2:9 "For
in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Therefore
dictating that God was in Christ Jesus, as stated in 2 Corinthians
5:19 "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto
himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed
unto us the word of reconciliation."
In
the record of the prophecies stated, in Jeremiah 23:6 "In his days
Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his
name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." If
Jesus is our righteousness, He must be God, as stated in Romans 3:10
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
In
Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace." Think about this, if He is the mighty
God, is there or was there another God? And if He is the everlasting
Father, who is His Father? Isn't He then the Father of us all. In
John 8:58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Before Abraham was, I am." That simply means He was not born into
existence.
I
hope that you got the picture of one God, for there is, was and will
be none else, but Jehovah God. There there many more record and
infallible proves to show that there is only one GOD!
