Do
you know that SALVATION is as FREE and as SIMPLE as ABC?
Here are some vital
points, which can be regarded as the ABC of the Gospel.
A- ACCEPTANCE
"Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" ... Acts 16:31. Acceptance can
only come through belief in the shed blood of Jesus and in His
wonderful redemptive work on Calvary. This is the first step in
being adopted into the family of God. “But as many as receive him to
them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that
believe on his name” John 1:12.
Acceptance includes
REPENTANCE signifying a turning from the old life to a more abundant
life in Jesus Christ.
B- BAPTISM
After Acceptance/
Repentance it is necessary for the next step - BAPTISM. "Repent, and
be baptised everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remissions of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost" Acts 2:38.
Baptism is the next
simple step after one believes the gospel... Acts 16:31, 33 support
this fact "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be
saved... And he (Paul) took them the same hour...
and was baptised, he
and all his..."
C- COMMITMENT/
CONSECRATION
A committed and
consecrated life is an excellent receptacle for the Holy Ghost,
which is vital for a continuous, victorious life. The assurance that
the Holy Ghost ... when come, will teach us all things ... is a
guiding light within us, you will now be able to live above sin in
this sinful world. As you progress spiritually, your life will
reflect the beauty and power of commitment and consecration.
It is Vital that we be
partakers of this wonderful Salvation, for - "In Him we live and
move and have our being..." Acts 17:28. He is our Creator.
Nowhere is it mentioned
the price you must pay for Salvation because it is FREE to us. There
is a price, which is very high, but Jesus paid it with His own life.
It is now for us whosoever will accept it.
Nothing said so far
seems complicated and difficult. The steps outlined are indeed very
SIMPLE. A trusting heart and Faith in God is what's needed to
receive and maintain this Salvation in your life.
To those who are
willing to make Jesus a part of their lives, it is as simple as
eating bread; for Christ said, "I am bread of life," as drinking
water - He said.... "I would have given thee living water....", and
as entering a door for He stated “I am the door; by me if any man
enter in, he shall be saved...”
WHY NOT FOLLOW THE
BASIC ABC OF THE VITAL, FREE AND SIMPLE GOSPEL AND BE AN HEIR AND
JOINT HEIR WITH THE LORD????
